La Casa Azul, an all-Latino bookstore, opens in East Harlem

Aurora Anaya-Cerda has achieved her dream of opening her own independent book store dedicated exclusively to selling works by Latino authors.

Originally from East Los Angeles, Anaya-Cerda has had a love for reading and learning more about her culture from a young age. As a teacher she realized the need for her Latino students to read works by authors who communicated like them and told familiar stories. After moving to New York City, she began a campaign on IndieGogo from September – November 2011 and raised $36,000 to open her store! This was the realization of 6 year long dream and a lifetime of passion for Latino literature.

Casa Azul will feature approximately 3,000 English and Spanish-language Latino books and art by local artists, jewelry, clothing and accessories from Guatemala and Mexico. Anaya-Cerda describes the great void that her bookstore is trying to fill: “In my store, every single bookshelf will be books by Latinos - giving us the recognition that we have not gotten. So many of us are great writers and have great stories to share.”

Pilatus PC-6 :

Le Pilatus PC-6/B2.H4 HB-FJC s/n 983 vient agrandir la flotte de la Compagnie Indonésienne Susi Air, il a rejoint l'Indonésie en vol courant décembre pour devenir le PK-BVC.

Le 13 décembre un Fairchild AU-23A Peacemaker de la Force Aérienne Thaïlandaise à été accidenté sur l'aéroport de Prachuap Khiri Khan, le pilote n'a pas été blessé. (voir photo sur le lien ci-dessous)

Pilatus PC-7 :

Maintenance et mise à niveau de l'avionique pour les Pilatus PC-7 utilisés par la DGA (Direction Générale de l'Armement) dans le cadre du Centre d'essais en vol français, à cette occasion une nouvelle décoration est appliquée.

Pilatus PC-12 :  

La modification et l'intégration des systèmes de surveillance des Pilatus PC-12/47E destinés à l'Armée Afghane se poursuivent chez Sierra Nevada Corp. La photo ci-dessous permet de visualiser les différentes modifications extérieures du s/n 1407 lors d'un vol d'essais.

Pilatus PC-21 : 

Parmi les nouveaux appareils envisagés par l'Armée de l'Air Française pour la formation de ses pilotes, le Pilatus PC-21 semble être pour les autorités un choix judicieux grâce notamment à son système complet d'entraînement.

Un pilote de l'Armée de l'Air vient d'ailleurs de terminer une formation de 10 mois auprès de la Force Aérienne Suisse.
