ComiCon: It's A wrap!

Comic-Con has come and gone, but now you have the chance to prepare for next year.

I know that a lot of you may have been crying in a dark corner because you weren't able to go to Comic-Con 2013. Well, you don't have to actually buy passes to attend. At the very least, you can just book a hotel room (good luck with that) and mingle outside The Con.

I took these pictures OUTSIDE The Con, and I also got free stuff. The Con has grown in size the last few years to the point that it has, literally, taken over downtown and the Gaslamp District. You do not, by any means, need to attend The Con itself in order to have a good time.

Nerd HQ took control of Petco Park this year. They held panels and had freeness galor. Free to the general public, too. There were also zombies...

Most of the surrounding hotels also have events for the general public, again, free of charge. The Marriott had the Nintendo Game Lounge, I heard that the Hilton had a Bestie Boys concert, Metallica was at the Lyceum. Everywhere you look, Comic-Con is there.

Mordecai and Rigby from The Regular Show. Cartoon Network

I didn't attend Comic-Con 2012, but I ended up walking around with a friend after we were off work. Dude, we ended up at the YouTube Fan Lounge and saw a panel with Stan "The Man" Lee and Mark Hamill. Not to mention the kickin' YouTube socks I got (YouTube tube socks, get it?).

All you have to do is a little research to see what's going on outside. And there's a LOT going on. You probably wouldn't be able to get to everything.

SyFy usually takes over Maryjane's. This year, it was decked out for Defiance.]

At the very least, you'll be in San Diego. Some would argue that that's reason enough.

You can click here for the rest of the pictures I took this year.
Buuuut, If you're still pining for all things Comic-Con, here are my pictures from 20092010, and 2011

Alfa Santos

Alfa Santos is a twenty-something year old that's spent the majority of her life in Southern California, and currently lives in San Diego. She enjoys most things nerdy (Sherlock, Marvel, Star Wars), traveling (been to 26 states), and going to concerts (underground / Indie hip-hop, rock, reggae).
