Meet The Samsung Discover From Cricket
For the last month or so we've had the chance to play with the Samsung Discover courtesy of our friends at Cricket Wireless. The Samsung Discover is a sleek looking smartphone that packs a big punch in a small package.
The Samsung Discover is Android powered with a 3.5 HGVA touch screen that makes the colors on the screen really pop! It also has an 800 MHz processor and 4 GB of ROM built in memory with the ability to add a micro SD card of up to 32 GB. So you will have plenty of space available.
It has a 3MP camera that takes picture and video. I was really surprised at the quality of the pictures we took! Most phones that I have used in the past with similar specs can't hold a candle to the Samsung Discover Like I said it packs a punch in a small package!
If you get this device I recommend you get a case for it. It has a very sleek profile. It's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand which puts you in a catch 22. Small enough for one handed use but could slip out of your hand if you're not careful.
Most of us not only use our phones to make calls and texting but for music and for GPS navigation. That's exactly what I use it for. Cricket has got you covered. I love their Muve Music app that allows you to download songs onto your phone and even whole albums from your favorite artists! That is huge no other carrier is doing that. The Samsung Discover also comes with Cricket's 411 app.
The Cricket 411 app allows you to navigate in the city quickly and easily by searching using key words like food or gas. Perfect for someone traveling and not familiar with the area. I was also able to call family in Mexico and even El Salvador thanks to Cricket's Unlimited International Long Distance Plus Plan. This is a great benefit for us that have family abroad and want to stay connected with abuelita.
The internet connection is fast on this device. There was never an instance in our experience where we had issues. (Results may vary) Cricket also offers unlimited data. Here is a great info graphic that breaks down data usage. I am definitely a "Voracious Streamer"
Over all I really liked this phone. It's a great phone for anyone looking to get their first smartphone as well as someone not looking for a mega sized phone. Check out our Twitter to learn more about our experience with this great phone!
